Courtallam : Spa of South India
Hi Folks
My heart knew no bounds when i was overpowered by the powerfull waterfalls from the beds of western ghats, Courtallam a.k.a Spa of South India.
The fresh water racing through the medicinal herbs not only provide the superb massage to the people unveiling themselves out there but also gives out a dazzling beauty for the passive visitors.

I was told that there are 9 different falls spread near to each other.
1) Peraruvi (Main Falls)
2) Chitraruvi, (Small Falls)
3) Shenbagadevi Falls, - (The place is filled with Senbhaga Trees)
4) Thenaruvi (Honey Falls)
5) Aintharuvi (Five Falls)
6) Pazhathotta Aruvi (Fruit Garden Falls or Orchid Falls).
7) Puli Aruvi (Tiger Falls)
8) Pazhaya Courtallam (Old Falls)
9) Puthu Aruvi (New Falls) or Palaruvi (Milk Falls)
P.S: Aruvi - Water falls ( in Tamil )

We enjoyed the falls and to our surprise we drenched ourself around 4.45 AM ( ?!?)
Automatic type writers got installed by our lower jaws.
Dharani, the backbone for this trip made the time memorable.
Special thanks to Dharani's Family ( pet dog Brownie inclusive ) made our time lively
